Gathering Momentum-Building Networks Community Organising Forum 11th December 2008 The second in a series of Community Organising forums was held at Alexandria Townhall on 11th December 2008. There was an even higher turnout that the first forum, close to 90 people.Facilitator, Derek Waddell introduced Patron, Robyn Kemmis, who opened the day. Robyn was followed by Aunty Sylvia, who did the Welcome to Country. City of Sydney councillor Irene Doutney gave a short speech on the importance of formal and informal Networks.Derek facilitated a panel, consisting of community advocates from across the inner city: Mara Barnes and Ron Jennings, both from Millers Point; Joanne Mulvay and Ross Smith representing Waterloo; David Collette from Surry Hills and Diann Payne from Glebe.
